How do I access the site manager?
At the browser location window, enter the following text:
www.your-domain-name.com/admin

When the browser is finished displaying the page, you should see what appears to be a log-in screen with two text fields in the middle of the screen. Enter your username and password there and click the "Log In" button.

If this login screen does not appear, you should try the following link:
http://www.pfyfn.com/admin

How do I turn the public site on?
You need to log into your site administrator. See above to see how to log in.

Among the links on the left side of the screen should be a link named "Web Site Options." Click on that link.

When the browser is finished displaying the page, you should see a box with information about your Web site. Click the Edit button.

Within that box, you should see a line that says"Web Site Status" with a pop-up box next to it. If your public Web site is turned off, then that pop-up box will say "-off-". Click that pop-up box and select "On". Hit the "Save Changes" button.

When the page redraws with the notification saying that the changes were saved, your public site should now be viewable.

My site does not display. What should I try?
On occasion, your PC will save a copy of a Web site in your hard drive. When you request that Web site again, the PC does not go out to the Internet to bring in a new copy, but checks its "internet cache," where these copies are stored. It is possible that your PC saved a copy of the "under construction" page and will display it again after you have activated your public Web site. To clear this temporary Internet cache, follow these instructions.

You are unable to clear the files for the Web site that is currently on your screen. Make sure that you are not at your Web site. Go to any other site, such as yahoo.com.

Internet Explorer users:
Click Tools and choose Internet Options. Click the General Tab. Midway down under "Temporary Internet Files," click delete files and then OK - do not click the "Delete All Offline Content Box." Click OK to close the window.

Netscape users:
Click Edit and Choose preferences. Double click "advanced." Click cache. Click both "clear memory cache" and "clear disk cache." Click OK to close the window.

What is HTML?
HTML(hypertext markup language) is the computer coding language that makes Web pages possible. As an Emerald client, you won't need to worry about HTML. Our powerful technology will allow you to publish a sophisticated Web site without understanding anything about HTML.

Do I need to know HTML?
Absolutely not. That's one of the best things about Emerald Web sites: You don't need any computer skills at all. Emerald's powerful automated system handles all these details for you. Emerald's system builds high-quality Web graphics and HTML code, and taps powerful programs with point-and-click ease. We register your Web site address, list your site with major search engines, and more – and it's all automatic. You simply pick and choose the elements that will best represent you and your services to prospective clients. It's that easy.

We support this with 24-hour monitoring to ensure top-quality service with no interruptions. This means your site will appear in visitors' browsers worldwide as quickly as any site on the Internet.
